you can buy clar bodies but they exceed the 100$ US mark

tires and wheels don't wear out as easy on these but again VERY esxpensive

bodies do not break near as easy, you can have one body for two seasons if you don't go nuts. And it may be expensive at the start but you save money in the end, think about your nitro, how muhc money you have to put in it for it to not break and run all the time.

Someone can easily spend 2000 on a truck (including it) bewteen your nitro fuel, parts, bodies, tires/rims.

The painted bodies are quite a bit more expensive. I'm not sure if they even offer them for the off road vehicles. The RTRs also come with clear bodies.

The painted on-road bodies go for around $500, unpainted they're $250-300. And stickers are optional.

The other thing is the bodies are usually multi-piece and you can buy the parts separately. The Stadium body is 3 parts for example-front grill/bumper, body and rear wing.

Also, the bodies get held on with a lot more body clips, on average 6 clips. The Stadium body is held on with 8-hood, rear bed, wing, and sides.

I've only ever managed to trash 1 body and that was the MT. The Beetle bodies are probably the most durable. The lexan is thicker and the round shape naturally bouces instead of getting crushed.

NO i here yu man i easily have 2300 invested in my savage alone not to mention how much i spend on fuel each season.. This hobby is pricey ive never been unaware of that but $500 for a body is kind of unreal like come on...

I like the truck i saw one at Toledo earlier this month nice truck looked like it was well built.. BUt honestally how tough is it out of the box can you beat on the thinng ?? Or is it big and fragile ?? Because if i have to spend 1500 on the trcuk and the first time i take it out all four a arms are going to break and the shocks are going to explode its not worth it.. You know what im saying.. Its quite a bit of money I'm looking at spending here and i wanna be shure that the FG Monster truck is a tough reliable truck.. I know that no Rc vehicle is perfect ive understood this from day one and all of them need work but how much work is required to get the truck to a point were is tough and reliable is what concerns me

Just Saw the Competetion Version of the Monster Truck its basically all aluminum.

Competition FG off-road is around $1800 EUROs!!

Bodies are expensive but look at the size and gauge of them. They need to withstand a 25lb truck/car. The ABS marder body is $100 and the rest of the poly bodies for off-road are around $140. Stickers sets are $50 or so. Yes expensive!! Like FlyingBlind said the Beetle body is the most durable. That body has been through several owners: FlyingBlind,Selwa,Way2fastrcz,Ironside, and now it's with Cyclops!! An it's still in one pc!! By far the strongest!! The truck bodies seem to be thinner and the square area make it more prone to cracks.

On-road bodies are larger too - 1/5
Off-roads are 1/6 (not sure why they call the HPI baja a 1/5)

You can also try buying on-line but not sure how much shipping and duty will be unless you talk to the company and have them send it as a sample with no invoice inside or something like that. I can go on-and on but the best thing to do is see them in person at Advance or come out sometime. Before you buy anything let me know.

Here's some website that may help too:
