Cecil,
You are right. It is the one by Don Lowe. The fuse is fiberglass and foam skinned wings and stab. I bought it from a fellow club member. It is almost complete, wings skinned and joined. Tail built and joined. Engine mount in place. I have to do the finishing and install radio. I'll keep you updated.

Phoenix (6)(8)

rcpilot:

You've got me"all fired up and motivated"now. Phoenix 8, all "glassed", painted with Hobbypoxy(I've still have lots),Rhom Air retracts(remember them),with the old Kraft "slim-line wheels, pumped Webra Speed 61 on a"pipe", 11x73/4 "Rev-Up" maple prop, and a "big ole'","conical shaped" aluminum spinner... I should have it done by the time "Lowe" gets here in August : ......Aaah, what a "nostalgia trip"

Cecil,
I love these old pattern planes. Flown dirty birdy for a few years and was my favourite planes out of the 30 different planes I've flown so far. The phoenix 8 I think is the latest design. If you don't mind, can you post a pic of it, I want to see how different it is from the Phoenix 6 that I have.
Thanks
