Raptor 60 - Choices for Electronics

I'm in the final stages of building, but now it is decision time for some electronics....Raptor 60, has an OS61SXWC Heli, FMC Co-Pilot with FS8 Receiver

I presently fly a Raptor 30V2, using OS32SXH, Futaba 7C Radio, 3151 servors, GY401 and matching servo.

I don't intent to move the Gyro, so the first of my questions, what would you do based on your experiences

1 - GY401 or GY502 with matching servos, both the GY601 & GY611 are pushing the cash envelope a little to hard.

2 - What servos would you choose, or should I look for a flight pack

3 - RX battery

Thanks

A few q's..

1) Are you staying with your Futaba TX?

2) I believe that version of the Co-pilot is only capable of working with analog servos, correct?

3) Do you, or do you plan on doing 3D??

4)How much do you want to spend?? Ie, lipo + regulator, or Nimh route??

Cheers

Yes for now

No it is OK for digitals, and the reported glitches with Futaba TX's have been corrected with the FS8, we'll find out soon enough.

Yes, but not real hardcore, more along the lines of rolls, loops, etc. not overly interested at this time of digging anymore holes in the ground

I'm going to stick with Nimh, as I picked up a good used Accu Cycle Elite, which should serve me for sometime yet. It is size and voltage I'm more interested in.

I would go with Futaba 9252's, at least a 3000mah nimh 4.8v battery, voltwatch, and a governor of your choice. You can customize to go more $'s by going 6v bat and regulator, but this is more complicated set-up because the GY401 needs 4.8v. You can go cheaper by running Hitec HS625mg's (I ran these on a 60 for a long time with 0 probs), or Hitec digitals.

Post some pics of your heli in the HOT HELI'S THREAD!!

Cheers
