[QUOTE=stegl;2762330]Not really a fair comparison between a single and dual conversion. For sure the dual conversion will supress interference twice as good as single. Now if someone not in the know had read that comparison and not had knowledge between a single and a dual conversion receiver ;he would then take it the one brand is superior to the other.

Don't forget when I'm running a foamy that weights under 200 grams I don't have much choice with a 72mhz receiver. I need something that's as light as possible. That's why I started with a GWS single conversion receiver. I now know I can by much better with the same weight. Cheers Floyd

Likely more to do with you doing well made installs that are powered correctly, range checked properly, etc.

Many of us have had trouble free use of DSM2 and DSMX when used properly.

The competition radio now has a 2.4 micro 4 channel at 2.9 grams with case and fail safe on all 4 channels for those that want it for under $10 usd . Why would one want to buy copies at that price ?

David , you are right about correct installs as I have seen some terrible ones and usually from those that
are newer and have never been helped. those that don't read instructions. And then there are still those that go by the book and have issues...... Then there are the " bad luck ones ".

Funny how many of my radio problems went away when I learned to fly better!

Re: Hobby King Orange Receivers

Hello All,

I just considering putting in a Orange receiver into a glow plane. I have the dual antennae Orange and the Orange with stabilizer. My concern is range in a 90 fourstroke plane. Anyone have experience with these receivers in glow planes? I have the orange Tx to use with it.

Dave
