Dale, could you do me a favor? I need to know where the balance point is located on your big Ultimate. If you could give the wing span, chord measurement and the factory CG point I can scale it up or down for my slightly modified Ultimate LOL. Thanks!

Gordon,

My 50% modelbau ultimate was at the rear of the center cabane .

My 50 cc aeroworks ultimate and smaller Dave Patrick were all the same location.

Hi Brad, I'm not sure the rear of my centre cabane is in the same location as yours LOL Any chance you have the measurements from your big bird??

No, no measurements.

But your wings and base set up are an Ultimate. It should give you a good starting point to work from. Most Ultimates are very similar in wing placement and wing stagger.

The bottom manual has the balance point, etc.
Hope this might help.
As for the airframe. All in the little cargo trailer at the flying field, ready for spring.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Fooling around in the shop tonight.... not sure how to describe this but could have a nice bling effect. Took me about 1/2hr to make it and it cost under $10' including the cost of the can. I preasureind it and put in the laundry tub submerged for a couple hours with no air escaping. Went to home depot and found an "O" ring that fits perfectly under the cap to aid in sealing. Just need to pick up some Viton tubing at thunderbolt next weekend if they are at the Kitchener swap meet. Anyways who new another source of hobby stuff is located at the "Beer Store".
