AMR 22% AirTractor / MOKI-150.... BBT

WOOT WOOT!!

As a departure from the normal Aerobatic planes, I've decided to do one of these kits for my MOKI 150 Radial

Game plan is to have this built / covered / painted in time for MaidenFest 2012

I also plan to have a functional sprayer system - likely a pressurized system that blows flour out of the sprayers

Pictures to follow tonight

You are gonna love this airplane. AMR makes the best kits!

With your building skills, this will be a beautiful plane!

Looking forward to it.

Thanks Guys!!

Should be a very fun project!!!

The kit is really nice and is complete - comes with hardware, wheels, hinges, all screws and bolts - very well equipped

Talking with Michel at AMR, their build came in at 43lbs with the MOKI 150 on the front. My goal is to shave off about 6-8lbs on the build, so there'll be lots of CUTTY-CUTTY going on here!

Cheers

Sweet project Trevor.

After seeing a Waco 33% being built everyday and having two AMR kits, there is a lot of room for lightening on these kits without sacrificing structural integrity.

Will be interesting Trevor, no reason for a plane that size to weigh that much.

Re: AMR 22% AirTractor / MOKI-150.... BBT

Agreed Jack!!!.....

There's likely nothing wrong with the stock weight...... those Moki's have tremendous power and at 124" WS, there's a lot of wing area here

BUT, I'm willing to take the time to lighten it up a bit, since 6-8lbs off the weight will certainly never hurt!!!

Game plan is to still keep it looking scale and it'll only be when you look inside that you'll see the lightening.

As you said, Jack... this plane is designed so insanely solid - it makes my 43% Carden look flimsy ... better to be overdesigned than the opposite.

Should be a blast

Trev,

I honestly wonder how you have the patience for all that lightening. Even in a scale plane!!! You need them to be big and heavy, that's what scale is!!! I dont even like using wood glue because I have to wait. Unreal, I cant wait to see it.
