To the moon..............Jack!

Just the 30cc MSX-R. Trev did a little mixxing for knife edge and we were checking if enough cooling for the SYSSA. Unfortunately the DA120 install in the Edge is taking longer then I thought so it did not happen today.

Re: BBT/WINGBURNER --> 4 REDHEADS and a CARDEN

The front baffling is roughed in!!

Tomorrow AM, I'll clean it up a little and reinforce the joints of the baffle to the cowl halves with some CF cloth and 30-min epoxy!! The painter will do all the blending and shaping before painting

Between this baffling and the NACA ducts for the rear cylinders, those RedHeads should stay nice and cool

Re: BBT/WINGBURNER --> 4 REDHEADS and a CARDEN

Balance Check Complete!!!!

As per the first picture, the recommended CG is 1 5/8" forward of the center of the wingtube. I've found with the Extra's that a CG location between 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" rearward of the recommended location usually yeilds a plane very close to neutral.

The black marks on the wing-tips is the center of the wingtube. The plane balanced 1/4" ahead of this mark (so about 1 3/8" behind the recommended CG) with:
* 2 batteries in the tail with 1.4oz screwdriver to simulate a double switch
* 1 battery and SBUS Rx under the pilot

((And before Jeeem questions it, unlike the picture, I did balance it with a set of wheel pants!!))

Saaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttt

Re: BBT/WINGBURNER --> 4 REDHEADS and a CARDEN

Thanks Jim...

Trevor, the 112 should stay nice and cool with the baffle and naca ducts.

Wow, that balanced out extremely well.

Between the excellent weight numbers and now the balance...WOW!!!..Couldn't have turned out better.

10-4!!!!

I'll touch base with the painter on Tuesday and hopefully he'll be ready for the cowl/hatch on Wednesday (fingers crossed).

I've got another evening to install the radio gear and the fuse will be done!

I'll finish up a few odds and ends while it's off at paint, like hinge-gap sealing and crate building!!!!

Lol. I put a little beat down on my Slick...again! Forgot a wingbolt! That was interesting! My 50cc plane now has a new owner and I'm flying the Carden only, now!
