The tunnel is just 1/16 balsa glued to the framing of the fuse and covered in Kevlar ultra cote for bling. There is a 1/16 ply plate where the stainless straps went through. No cracks anywhere.

Yes I've heard of doing that. May do that or maybe just clean them out and sell them. I'm not using them with the 200.

Well progress is slow but the firewall is in and next up is the tank retrofit for a 1.89L Ocean Spray fuel tank. Got some goodies from Thunderbolt that fit just perfectly!

I'll pretty up things once everything is fit properly. I had to widen the tank mount which necessitated removing the velcro plates that were there (reuseable...oh yeah!) and adding an additional plate up front. The velcro mounts are on 1/32 ply and will be glued back in once the mounts are shaped properly. The tank is a nice fit!

Looks nice Lee. How do you secure the tank to the velcro, do you glue the other part of the velcro to the tank.

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

The saddles have the hook side and the tank has the loop pieces on the sides and bottom at the saddles and I have a wide Velcro strap that loops over the two cf rods on either side of the saddle and over the tank. It's a tight fit and will never move.

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

Well like most things, this retrofit isn't that easy After making the rear hatch I pondered how to mount the batteries and after several iterations came up with a simple and light solution. The batteries go in vertically and it holds both my LiIon and Lipoly versions very well!
