I,m new to this site as well as off road . I was in to on road for a few years , since the P L R C is no longer , off road is now my fix . I just finished break in on a Revo and Buggy . When the race season starts , what is the best way to keep them looking mint ? It's so nice to run with out a fear of messing the set up and killing a set of foams

two things that keep any offroad r/c looking minty fresh is a can of WD40 and a toothbrush.
Spray it on, wait a few, scrub/wipe it off. Repeat if necessary. You'll have to try it yourself to believe how well it works. Best part is you can do it trackside no problemo.
If you want to go even further, heres some other great cleaning tools/supplies:
Brake cleaner
Spray nine or Simple Green
A jug of varsol (cleans air filter foams AWESOME)
Large diametre pipe cleaner (good luck finding one)
A bundle of shop rags
Blue 'Shop Towels' (a brand name found at canadain tire)
Quality horsehair paintbrush
Short bristle scrub brush (for tires)
Air compressor
Grease from your elbows

Enjoy.

stiff bristle paint brushs, scrub brushs, toothbrushs to take off the loose stuff.
non Clorinated brake cleaner
WD-40
A good dose of elbow grease and you have a clean truck.

I use a detailing spray like Mothers or McGuires on the body as a finishing touch....it really puts a shine on your lid,,and its so much easier to clean it after some run time...

make sure the brake cleaner is non chlorinated or abs safe the regular stuff will make the plastic turn white.

your still better off using the wd40 and tooth brush though

This kind of fits the topic. When I am working on truck, I put it on top of an aluminum pan that Costco puts their pizzas in. This is a really large pizza - it fills an entire rack in the oven. The pan is perfect to hold my 1/8 and keeps the grit off the surface of the table I am using.

i use 50/50 water and spray nine, then air off then spray wd-40 then just put some wd-40 in the moving shocks, shocks, drive shafts, and all under neath, try not to get brakes, looks sweet after done, but it depends on wut truck u have, i got a revo and everything is so close to eachother so its hard to keep everything clean
