CL-215 water spadder

Coro is such a wonderful building medium! I've always wanted to do a twin engine airplane, and since most flying around these parts is on water, it needed to be on floats...or a flying boat!
I like MRdesign's 415, but until I can afford to do it properly, this one will have to do! And since the airframe has about $40 at the very most worth of materials into it, its very affordable even if it crashes or wont work!

The hull is 4mm, all one piece except for the bottoms behind the step and the top. Bulkheads are 1" and 2" blue foam, gorilla glued into place. The wing is 4mm/2mm and 72" in length. The spar is a composite hockey stick shaft that was found at the rink ( broken of course!) with yard sticks pieced on to make it long enough. its probably overkill but i wanted something stronger than just the yardsticks especially in the nacelle mounting area. Im not sure how much flex or stress there'd be in the wing, but with hopefully picking and dumping loads of water, there may be some stress on the poor old wing.

She'll be powered with Thunder Tiger .46's. Final weight will hopefully be about 10# + the load of water!

Looks great! Hopefully your idea holds water! Okay, bad pun.

How did you waterproof the coro seams? If you've got bigger pics, you could upload them to photobucket.com or a similar site!

Anyways, looks cool.
