I happened to mention to a chap that I was finishing my 1/4 scale Giles G202.

Coincidentally, he just finished his, too! :P

His is just like mine, sort of, except it's 4 times as big.

He can hover for a short time at low altittude (not too low...!) and he's done torque rolls with it.

Enjoy the pics.

I feel my next scale project coming on...

WOW!! That is pretty cool. I would imagine that project cost a few bucks!! Did he ship it USPS.....hahahahaha!!

Your freind looks like he is a kid. Does the FAA know he is trying to hover his full-scale Giles?

He's actually not young at all. He even has grey hair.

But anyone having that much fun is bound to look like a kid.

I wonder how many people have actually scratch built and copied a full scale aerobatic aircraft? (such as an Edge, Extra, Giles, Cap, etc) I know you can buy the real thing for a mere couple 100,000$ but i wonder how much it would cost to scratch build one. Does anybody have info or any experience?
