The Greater Moncton Aeromodelers club is pleased to announce their 2013 mega indoor funfly and swapshop event at the Moncton Coliseum. This is a huge 50,000 sq. ft. venue with two cavernous halls (one for planes, one for helicopters) that will safely accomodate many small indoor aircraft. We hope to repeat last year’s very successful event!

We will have two large exhibit halls – 50,000 sq. feet of flying space!! Swap shop tables to trade and sell R/C gear – included in your entrance fee. Indoor electric aircraft (foamies and smaller) will be flown in one hall, 450-size electric helicopters and smaller rotor craft in the other.

There will be an onsite food vendor as last year. There is also a Tim Hortons just down the street and many restaurants nearby. You are welcome to bring your own food if you like. We will provide a limited number of tables for the swap shop and pits, but it would be prudent to bring your own chairs and tables as well to ensure you are comfortable throughout the day.

Note that the swap shop starts at 10 AM. Please be fair to those driving from out of town by selling only after 10 AM.

This is one event you won’t want to miss! It’s sure to be a great time!!

In the event of severe winter weather preventing travel in the greater Moncton area, the event will be cancelled and cannot be rescheduled. Otherwise, the event will proceed. If necessary, notice of cancellation will be posted on the GMAC website by 6am.

The cost is $20 for participants (pilots and sellers at swap shop), but spectators are free. Your admission helps us cover part of the rental cost for the facility.

Here are the rules for this year's event:

• In the event that weather affects the event, a cancellation will be communicated by means of the GMAC and MAAC websites.
• Open flying except during demos or contests
• Helicopters and multirotors in one room, airplanes in the other
• Sub micro, micro or mini aircraft only (Helicopters 450 or smaller, Planes 12oz or lighter)
• Electric or rubber/unpowered free-flight only
• No transmitter impound will be provided
• Frequency boards will be utilized
• Swap starts at 10 AM.
• Current 2013 MAAC membership required to fly. Must provide proof at the door.
• MAAC safety code applies
• Pilots must stand behind flight line. No standing around the edges of the field.
• Charging is permitted in the pit area, using a safe charging system
• Collisions are to be avoided
• No alcohol or drugs. No smoking indoors; smoking outdoors in designated areas only.
• Blatant disregard of the rules or dangerous flying may result in grounding and/or ejection without refund.
• GMAC reserves the right to refuse entry to any participation or restrict any aircraft or pilot on the basis of safety.
• GMAC is not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen property or injuries

Note: Everyone should enter through the main doors. After registration, pilots can bring gear in through the rear overhead doors.
