Evolution 61 inverted Need Help!

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
Hi There

One of the guys in our club has a new Spitfire 60 with an inverted evolution 61. The engine is getting too much fuel due to the height of the tank in the airframe. It really can't be changed due to the wing saddle location. Is there any suggestions out there for this type of problem? Thanks,

Tom

inverted .61

Does the engine need to be inverted or could it be installed at 90 degrees or even up to say 120 degrees. I am no expert. I have several running on there side with no issues. I have been told running a 2 stroke inverted is hard because fuel can pool at the ead and cool the glow. An onboard glow driver can ghelp if the engine need to be inverted.

Inverted 2c

You could try a perry pump.

perp20 or perp30

GH carries them but description lacks.

Tower has good description and install requirements.

Worked great for a 46 I mounted inverted (perp30).

Remote needle

According to the "X" spurts installing a remote needle just above the tank centerline will cure the problem.
