June 11 and 12, 2011 will mark the start of the IMAC season in Alberta. The CRAMS club in Calgary will be hosting the first of 4 IMAC contests that will be held in Alberta this year. This will be the fourth year that the Calgary Scale Aerobatic Stampede has been held and it is a great opportunity to come out and try scale aerobatics. We will be flying the Basic, Sportsman and Intermediate classes with 4 known rounds on Saturday and one round each of unknown and known on Sunday. BBQ lunch for all pilots and crew on Saturday and a free Stampede style pancake breakfast on Sunday morning! Contact Gordon Wilhelm at gvwilhelm@hotmail.com for more information.

Re: 2011 IMAC season starts in Alberta!

I've just checked the IMAC registration site and I want to let you guys know that I have talked to at least 3 or 4 additional pilots who plan on flying Basic and I'm pretty sure that there will be at least one or two more guys in Sportsman as well. If you are planning to attend please either sign up on the IMAC site or drop me an e-mail at: gvwilhelm@hotmail.com

Thanks

Gordon,

that is great news that IMAC is getting some recognition out WEST. The East Coast seems to be thriving as well with 4 events scheduled.

Looks like things have gone into a lul in Ontario. We use to have 8 to 9 events a season but are down to 4 only this year.

Good luck with all of your events.

Re: 2011 IMAC season starts in Alberta!

Kudos Gordon on hosting an IMAC contest in Alberta I hope you have a great turnout and everything goes well. Like Jim says, we have seen a bit of a lull in Ontario, but numbers of contests are growing out East and West. I need to retire so I can go to these events!
The weather has been a major factor so far this year and my own practice time has been next to nill as has been the case for most this spring. The weather gods are saying it will be a hotter and drier summer, so hopefully later contests will have good numbers in Ontario and certainly if anyone can attend the Nationals in Quebec, there should be well over 50+ pilots in all classes for that one
I hear from a little birdie that the Nats trophies will be worth the trip itself

Lee
