What would you like to build next winter??

You guys will KILL me for this since summer just started but what's on the building board for next winter's projects?
I actually have no idea what I would like to do. I wouldn't mind getting another BD5-J and dedicate it to Scott Manning. I would have to find a builder as I would like it done before 2010 if I built it.

I have an old BVM Sport Shark I would like to convert to MW44 turbine some day but again......2010.....

More than likely my SM F18 , I bought it on sale, looked at it, hummed and hawed over some poor finishing got frustrated and packed it up. I'll pull it out in Winter and work on it, it's not much of a build, it's more of an assembly...regardless it's my winter project

Man, that's funny. I know soooo many guys (including myself) with this problem, but I think this is the 1st time someone's ever admitted it! We should all take a lesson from Myles, since admitting we all have a problem is the 1st step in rehab!

I've got a GP ultimate that's been 1/2 built for 2 years, and a TF corsair with retracts, an OS 120S3 and all the hardware sitting in the box, where its been for 1.5 years... I can't remember the last time I finished building a prop plane, but man the fleet's getting pretty thin now!

As for my ideal jet for this winter, its a long shot but I'd love to build an F-18C. Now this thread's good evidence that Skymaster's done their market research... Alternately, If I had money to burn...... Super Bandit for sure!

Kelly

Building.the pain! :)

Absolutely Kelly, I have no problem admitting it man! I'm sure we're not the only ones out there! ;0

Moneyyou say? If money was no object, Ultra Bandit would be mine just cause they fly so nice or I wouldn't mind one those Composite ARF Lightnings or the now defunct Cai Raptors, or the MAS Renegade or Vigilante (If they're still made) another long forgotten jet is the Bolly Scorpion (Not made anymore ) It had a T-tail and looked really cool. Would love to have one! of course all of these would be BUILT for me! LOL

That will be my summer/fall/winter project. I have a brand new CAI Raptor sitting here, all the retracts, wheels, brakes, servo's, etc etc etc, just need another engine and I'm set. As for right now, gotta get the super bandit done.

Kelly, I know of a Super Balsa Bandit for sale that is a killer price! 98% built, go fly for WAY less than BV price, PM me if you want the scoop, it was offered to me, but with the Composite Super Bandit, Kingcat, 2 Exocet's and a Raptor here already I had to pass it up.

hmmmmmmmm, man my wife would KILLLLLL me.......

Please send me the info anyway Jer, never hurts to kick the tires and run the numbers!

I'm gonna have to organise my building schedule a little (OK, a lot based on my track record the last few years...) better this year, and maybe even consider an ARF (perish the thought). I took on a new winter part time job, likely to eat a bit more of my spare time away from building. Just prior to the end of the regular season I started on with the Canucks as an R/C pilot, flying their ~9.5m long whale shaped blimp at home games! Its another version of adrenalin rush all together... Its big, slow, and gets blown all over the place by the air conditioning. All the while staying just out of reach from ~18K people that would love to get a hold of it and rip off all the prizes it drops!
