servo compatibility
Good Day.
Im new to the hobby, althoguht ive been tinkering around in it for years, im still working on finishing my trainer, Im curious as to what servos are compatable with what recievers, And will a JR radio work with a Hobbico or futaba reciever if they are on the same Channel? thanks |

I think that you will find that servos of any type will work well. I have used JR, futaba, Hobbico, with a hitec receiver and transmitter and found no problems at all. I don't think that servos know the difference

and to continue that thought, no a JR radio will not work with a Futaba receiver. Hitec does sell a universal receiver where you can change between Futaba and JR (negative shift and positive shift) but not both at the same time

Just to continue on the servo part. If you are using older(I mean old) servos that some of there wiring is reversed so you have to change the plug configuration or buy adapters. I still have some older Airtronics that I changed the pins on and yes they are still just about new. Just didn't use them when I changed manufacturers.
The servo wiring I think is on the help topics. John

Thanks,
The reason i asked is because i recently bought an airplane with a radio and the radio has a hitec transmitter, futuba and hitec servos and a hobbico comand reciever. And i have a JR radio and was wondering what would work with what. One more question on a similar topic, I cant fin any information on the Hobbico recievers or servos, are they discontinued? or am i misspelling something thanks |
