Local Hobby Shop here in YQT has blocks about 1 1/2" thick X 12" X 24" or so.
Around $15CAD I think. Of course a hot wire cutter would be needed for thinner sheets.

I'll have to take Toms' word for it that they have it up there. EPP is pretty much unobtanium locally - or even nationally. There are a few US sources though.

in brampton...i could check out hobby hobby, but i was thinking more in the way of hardware stores or industrial supply outlets

Leading Edge Hobbys here in kingston carries it too. This is very tough rubbery foam that's almost indestructable. Although I can break it. I can break a boxcar.
