xxx Losi..or any other Stadium ..need opinion
Ok this got me thinking
http://www.offroadrc.ca/showthread.php?t=2969 We at offroad have had a couple ideas in the back of our head to make things interesting....you know...kick it up a notch...BAM.!... I was originally drawn to them because of the 3 speed Schumacher..but never actually bought one because well parts availability...I saw a vid (slap ma fro) I believe...of one hitting warp speed...and said..I've got to have one. However..with MT's etc I've never got around to buying one.. Now..I've got a project in the works that can justify me buying one...if only for a short lived life... Heres the questions... are these fast...and durable...(meaning if I was to hit a jump like the one in fozy's gamers vid) would it be landable...and would it survive. Do the losi compare in speed to the schumachers.. |

I doubt you will hit the speed of the schumacher with any actual stadium truk. That said, on to durability.
The xxxnt rtr versions are very brittle and will bust suspension parts on a regular basis doing jumps. Out of the box these handle great, but are weak. The GT's are a hell of alot more bashable, but don't come with quite the handleing or the nice radio gear. If you plan on racing, with small mods the GT can be made to handle as well as the xxxnt and will be a hell of alot more durable. Please keep in mind guys that I am not trying to bash the losi truck, just sharing my observations over the last 3 race seasons. The Schumacher is a 1/10 stadium with a .21 and a 3 speed......Not to much in the stadium truck class with achieve the speed of that truck. Mike

if your talking about a schumacher menace im your guy, i just happen to have one.and they are fast as hell we clocked mine in second gear at 100kph and i never even hit 3rd.they are very reliable and never eat glow plugs. ive never had mine off road but ive hit a few skater ramps and it seems to handle them well.and its very tough its rolled and 100 before and drove away. how ever its very powerfull and i think off road tracktion would be a problem.if you have anyother questions let me know

i have a xtr and so far parts have not been a problem mine is the older single speed BUT for 200 cdn you can convert to 3 speed--they give u everything from the motor back, trans,hd outdrives,hd outer hubs clutch, clutch bell everything to bring it up to spec
the truck is up for sale,i am waiting on one part the brake hub ,i would have orderd a new one too but it was plastic same as the one that broke,i have a friend machening a new one should be done any day other than that its been a good truck and fast as h*## it is still in near mint condition i was wanting to get 350 but if your intrested make me an offer,i have some spare parts too axles, ujoints, extra body http://www.wildhobbies.com/news/defa...9&action=Print

my only concerns with schumacher is the parts availability...many distribs and LHS don't like to deal with them because of there order policies...so I'm hoping to find something compareable....I learned the lesson on the Ikarus for parts avail..there is something to be said driving an hour for parts every week.
I'm not likely to race it...more to bash with...specific bash actually..(more on that later) I need speed basically..and an ability to handle on an unstable road condition |

i have never had a problem with parts for mine i have had them faster than part i have orderded from the lhs for a tnx or my mt except this time with the brake thing i am having the part made out of alu other than that its been tough i just consiter it a fast 1/10 2wheel drive rally car it does the best on close to flat ground and is a bit hard to steer because of the power but it is a blast to drive i consiter it an old muscle car its fast, loud and doesnt handle that great but chances are there is nothing in the parking lot that will catch it in a drag race lol its faster than my 1/8 buggy (xtm 247)
