[Dadic 78]

Hey everyone. So, kinda frustrating afternoon... I spent last night swapping out my 454 for my Axial .32 Spec 1S. Just for *s and giggles. Anyhoo, to install the Axial in the XXL chassis, I had to turn the carb 180 degrees. No problem. Got everything installed, and took it out this afternoon. Engine needed tuning, but started OK, and I was tuning it for about 1/2 hour or so (didn't even get through a full tank of fuel) when my glow-igniter batteries died. So, ran out for some fresh ones.

Get back, go to fire it up, and she won't go. Check the basics... Plug is good, fuel is fresh, and all things seem normal. But, when I pull on the pull-start, it just turns over... So, I put a bit of fuel in the carb, she fires up, screams, then dies out. OK, no fuel... I try blowing in the upper fuel hose (as I regularily do to avoid using the primer-pump) and I notice that I can't even blow fuel into the carb. I disconnect the fuel line from the carb, give a blow, and the fuel comes out. So, fuel tank is good, lines are good, but fuel not getting into the carb. I figured with all the tuning, and since I had to move the carb 180 degrees, something has gone wrong.

Side-note: when turning the carb 180, I had to adjust the brass fuel-inlet fitting to allow a straight path for my fuel lines to run.

So, now I'm a bit out of my realm of tuning, and overall glow-engine knowledge... I'm good with all things mechanical, but I need a hand getting pointed in the right direction here. I took the HSN off, and noted the small hole that the fuel has to run through to enter the carb. I did my best to align these holes, when tightening the fuel-inlet fitting, but I was getting frustrated, and the skin on my "pullstart hand" is starting to wear off, and blister. So I packed it in for the day.

Can someone help me get in the right direction here? Is it as simple as aligning the holes, and she'll be good-to-go? Seems logical, but these tiny engines are still a bit of a mystery to me.
