Okay, with the exhaust issues pretty much out of the way, and a few people have agreed about the larger diameter tubing... there are other points that need to be tackled.

The wheelbase for MTs and buggies arent the same? Do I incorporate a set of front rollers that are adjustable? and if so how do I do this.

Next is this... how am I to recreate the restistance of being on road? The rollers cannot "freewheel" because they do there is a very large chance that the connecting rod will crack. If we have any engineers out there do you have a calculation for friction:force? Keep in mind that there doesnt need to be an exact resistance, just something in the ball park.

How to recreate the resistance? just one strap for the whole RC or just a suspension strap?

Hopefully over xmas when I ahve some free time from exams I will do a rough sketch and post it as a jpg so we can get an idea of my thoughts.

you can recreate resistance the same way exercise bikes do.....its a small rubber wheel that you can tighten down on the big wheel to give it resistance

Great idea... actually think that will be incorporated!

- have any ideas how to make the restistance/tension close to correct for driving?

the only way i could say is listen to the engine on the device and off....if it struggles on the device loosen the tension......you also may want to have moving air over the head to keep temps down.

I got an excellent suggestion as to how to create resistance.

Have a belt around on of the rollers attached to an adjustable cam. use the cam to create the resistance.

As keddy stated if it sounds like it struggling release the cam a bit.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make it adjustable for different wheel bases?

My Idea:

- Have the front set of rollers freely sit in slots. The ends of the rollers are attached to plates, on the plates are pins, the pins sit in slots.

There will be several slots to accomodate wheelbase for several sizes ranging from 1/10 to 1/8. This should also accomodate for buggies, MTs and TC's
