I'm once again blown away with the generousity and willingness to "help" that the entire RC community shows.

I'm oringinally from Smithers, and was part of the club that puts on the FunFly in Houston. It was a 4 member club at the time, and the guy's were so willing to help me out when I got started. They were always willing to help me keep my trainer in the air, donating "old" parts, radios, even a couple rekitted planes.

I'm just getting back into the hobby in the Chilliwack area. Being from a small town, I thought my previous experience was due to geography. I have since been proven wrong. I have recently joined the Heritage RC club in Chilliwack. Once again, guy's are willing to help however they can, and I've witnessed the same generosity. I of course try to reciprocate in any way I can, wether it's to raid my one airworthy plane for parts to facilitate a safer maiden flight, or just to chime in with a useful tip.

Ted's Cross Canada RC adventure is definitely one of the coolest things I've read in this forum or any other I've stumbled on.

Ted, I hope you had a good time on your holiday. Maybe I'll see you next year in Houston. I intend on being there for '06.

Thank You for reminding me the reason I really like this hobby. It's not the fancy gear or planes or gismos. It's the people you get to hang with.
