Is this Normal for Cars?

Heyy, I just broke in my new r/c car (Duratrax streetforce GP2)!! But when I was in the break-in process, I figured out there was something weird with the car. This was when i was breaking in the motor. When the car was running I didn't have to hold down the gas button, the car ran all by itself, all i had to do was just hold and let go of the break. Here is the question. Is this normal for R/C cars?
(the car i have is a Duratrax street force GP2)

Thanks

YOu're transmitter will have a throttle trim on it - a slider if it's a cheaper model, or electronic (push button) if it's newer/pricier. Read the manual, and do the adjustments until it sits still.

Do you mean at the top of the Trigger, because there is three noba at the top with short form enicials.
Here are the encials
1. D/R - far left (before streing wheel)
2.St.TRIM - middle right (just ahead of the streing wheel)
3.TH.TRIM - far right (beside ST.TRIM)

D/R is dual rates - this will let you "up" the steering

ST trim is the steering trim - adjust this so that the car runs straight with no steering inputs.

TH trim is the throttle trim - adjust this so that the car sits still with no inputs.
