Mine came in today. Haven't had a chance to really dig into it, but so far I think the quality is awesome.

The qulaity and service offered by Wild Hare is top notch. Tom is a great guy to deal with. I would buy from him again any day!

That is apparently a sick combo steve, unlimited vertical at 1/3 throttle, and no take off roll, it just jumps into the air, should be sweet.

I think you meant "slick" combo there Billy boy! LOL. I did a double take there on that one myself! Actually if the specs are corecct on the MVVS 58 at 9 HP is way overpowered for that plane at 15 - 16 lbs. IMHO

No Gary i meant sick, remember i am 20 years younger than you, the language has changed a little, , IMHO you are right, just too much power, and for me to be saying that..... but thats why they make throttles right?

Ya its a sick combo alright,I'm getting scared already. But your right thats why they make throttles and I going to try real hard to manage the power accordingly till I'm good and ready to open her up.I think a more realistic weight will be 18-19 lbs because they are all ending up a little heavier than advertised
I plan on using this engine later on in a 35% size bird so w'ell see how it goes...

Picked up my Wildhare Edge 540T today and am happy with it. It is from the second batch and the light tube is snug but I had no problem installing it with no sanding or modifications. The covering and paint is fine, could be better by eliminating a few of the seams like on the rudder but with the increase in cost vs looks compromise I have no problems with the way it is covered. Wood and workmanship is great, only found one spot where some glue could be added and that is in a slight gap between the engine box sides and the triangle stock reinforcement on firewall, a few minutes and some epoxy and it will be good. I am very happy with the plane so far but think the ultimate test will be the way it flys and from what I have seen so far think it should fly great.
