Oncerponertime I flew a lot of pattern.Did alright too at the zone and national level. Then boredom set in cuz of the practice practice practice, and the realization that I wasnt ever going to beat Ivan or Gerry.
I like mostly scale today, but I also like competition and there are few scale contests any more.
I lurked in the background for an hour or two at the London contest (wife in hospital for a week) and watched the fun. I must confess I took a copy of the basic pattern with me and last nite found myself running my 1/3 scale Spacewalker through it with much enjoyment. I already have a ZDZ 60 idle for the moment ,and Im thinking about next summer ...........damn......did have to go and get infected again!

Jim,
He was there on Sunday, just before I started flipping/flipping/flipping by engine (doh, I found out later my choke wasnt closing completely - I fixed it when I got home) and was up near the judges for a while.

That's great news to hear Randy. You are a hard ( and dedicated) worker when it comes to prizes for your contests.
