you could also try a 3 or 4 bladed prop instead of a 2, if that's what you are using. more blades=more water pushed. there is a tradeoff though with more blades.......your top end will be down 1 or 2 MPH, which is almost unreckognizable to the human eye. the bottom end has way more acceleration on takeoff and out of the corners, because of more torque from the prop.......at least that's my conclusion having tried one on my hydro. and there's the cool factor too and that is this..............more water being thrown by extra blades=bigger rooster tail. and to me, that looks awesome. LOL.

again, those are my observations from my 1/8th hydro. I'm sure someone with more knowledge of props can explain my observations better, but I believe it's much more torquier "out of the hole" with a 3 or 4 blader. on the downside, I have noticed it takes longer for the multi bladers to bring the pipe back on and back up on step, unless you play the throttle well.........cavitation is the issue with that.

Re: need more bottom end !!!!!

Hi Rich,
I would try a 6518 / 3 blade, or some guys try the 6717/ 3 blade. The 6518 would be easier to set up.

thanks Carmen, I appreciate that. I have to get ahold of you soon, since I would like a ceramic coated pipe and header to match my engine that you did for me. could you perhaps send me a PM with prices? thanks.
