Re: Is Glow Dead?
Probably hook you up with a Saito 90T Curt or an OS 120 Gemini.

Re: Is Glow Dead?
really nice big bee William. I just scratched built a smaller version the Lazy bee with a 450 outrunner on the front of it. The wing was already built so just need to do some more work on it to get it flight worthy

Re: Is Glow Dead?
I think the hard parts for me were cracking the longerons for the front of the fuse and the stringers for the windshield as well mounting the wing. The only problem with it is the wing was built with 3/32 balsa ribs instead of the 1/16 ribs but I did cut holes to allow wiring to go through for the lights I am putting in the wing. Also had to strengthen the elevator I went to cover it and it ended up getting all twisted.

Also, on a foamy, the sound vibrations will be inconsequential. And many balsaply models are built sufficiently to withstand fuel engine vibes obviously, so sound vibes should be a cinch. But the MRRCSound enthusiasts have found the ideal way to mount the transducer in a balsaply aircraft: without being rigidly mounted to the airframe. They mount it on a little foam glued to the inside of the covering material. They don't do this to protect the airframe. They do it to achieve maximum decibel levels. see here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...59&postcount=9 (again, I only have the Benedini, with conventional speaker - the diver is isolated from the airframe.) I also wonder if any of the folks using glow of gas engines in scale planes also have tried using a sound synth system to drown out the non-scale sound of their wee sized engines I am kidding of course - these synth sound systems really don't have the kind of kick to project the sound for many hundreds of feet like a nitro or gas model engine does Last edited by bcsaltchucker; 04-02-2015 at 12:56 AM. |
