ask around

If you wouldnt mind ask around for me too eh.

hopefully I can find the peice.

I almost needed a hole crash kit as the blade flew off when the machiene was 7-8 feet in the air.

God only knows how the I managed to land the thing in one peice minus the part that flew off causing the tail to vibrate like crazy and throwing the helli into a violent spiral.
Thank the weather for the 2 feet of powder (snow) that it landed into .
good thing i wasnt flying over anything else or it would be done in for sure.

Came down like a spin top.

I guess now i can Say so far off to a bad start . Or mabey it was a good start as i still have my helli.
the blade flew off because the nut holding it on was loose and came undone.
I diddnt assemble this helli as its previous owner built it from a kit.

Now im going over every other nut, bolt and screw to ensure that there tight and secure with loctite.

Found a ton of loose nuts and screws in the last 30 min and im still going.

I'm Gonna have to dissasemble the hole thing I Want to know that my engine, clutch, clutc bell ,driveshaft and all other mechanical parts are secure and wont go haywire on me.

Will for sure take a day or two. But worth it in the long run

cheers

Raptor .30 parts

Greathobbies should have all the parts you need for the tail. Looks like you need tail pitch slider (PV0017), tail rotor grips (PV002, maybe a tail case (PV0027), tail blades (PV0037). I am just judging from your photo and descriptions. If this is the case your parts shouldn't be very much money.

Norm is the man

Thanks Norm I did just that. I fixed the part that was broken good enough to fly till the new one gets here in about a week or so.
I wont trust my repair for more than a week or so of flying but I trust it enough to hold out till the new one gets here.

Thanks for the advise , it saved me 50$ (if i bought the crash kit)

How did you fix it? They are pretty critical parts to try and jimmy rig, I hope you didn't use glue or something like that to fix it?

I'd be a good time to upgrade to the V-2 tail hub and blade grips. It's much better. I would not trust any Raptor pitch plate repair. If GH does not have the pitch plate part, I do.

repair

yeah I used ca to join the parts together then i looped some steel wire between the two parts (like steel sowing)and crimped the wire tight.
then some jb weld over the wire to secure the hole jimmy rig.

I bet the other side would snap b4 my repair did. I bet its stronger than the original.

Still Your right. Jimmy rig just doesnt apply to such complex machienes like these . I'll wait till I get the proper part b4 bad things happen.

Pitch Fork?

Do you just need the pitch fork? I may have a few lying around...I'll check when I get home.
