Hurri prop

Hi Glen, The static scale prop on the Hurri actually comes from a Yellow Zero. The blade profile is very similar as is diameter. Best part is its much easier than making one from scratch

prop

Thanks marty, just one other question, did you cut one up or did you cast the blades using the zero prop as a mold?

prop

Glen, The prop for the Yellow Zero comes complete with 3 individual polyester F/G blades and wooden hub mounting pieces. It actually took longer to paint it up than to put together! very simple and a good investment I reckon... Oh yeah you will need to purchase another spinner obviously as well, on e for static and one for flight (2 blade)
I purchased prop via Yellow rep Shuan Evans. Let me know if you want his contact/email details.

Cheers

I've been doing some research trying to find a company to cut out the ribs and bulkheads for me. We did find a US company who does the Vallie Hurry, last year but his prices have gone up about 30% over the summer so the cost of doing it this way is kind of steep for me.

Oh well, I have two bandsaws and a table jig saw, drill presses, drum sander and belt sander that I should put to use. Its a fair bit of work but its a special project for me and its not one that I will complete in a month anyway. And it will be even more special if I do all the scratch building myself anyway.

I've talked to Vallie Aviation and they will be able to supply the glass parts, the canopy and the retracts for me so that alone should save a fair bit of the labour!

And Marty, I will take you up on your offer to get one of the pilots for me and some info on the detailing if your still willing to do that for me??? Thanks again my friend.

Well yes and no... I use 2 programs to edit photos one is "photo base 3" that came with my camera and "adobe photo deluxe home edition" I gave the picture depth with "photo shop" but I could not give it the rusty colour and little dots/little blurry because my photo deluxe is on the fritzz !!!!!!

If I could have used that program and saved it, it would have looked very VERY realistic.
