PT60 trainer with gas engine?

Newbie here. I'm looking to buy a PT-60 trainer kit for a winter project. With the eventual goal of buying a Corsair 60 kit after an intermediate plane or two. Pretty standard stuff.
I'd like to buy components that I can move up with. Like an 8 channel radio instead of a 4. As I want to put a gasser in the Corsair I was thinking of starting with gas in the trainer.
Now my research shows:
The supertigre G-61 is a suggested engine for the PT-60 and TopFlite's Corsair 60.
It weighs 26.8 oz. A small gasser like Zenoah's G20ei weighs 41.6 oz.
From what I've been reading it seems like the PT-60 builds tail heavy and needs about 13 oz extra in the nose for proper CG. Seems like a good fit.
Unless the extra weight is only needed on planes using the 18 oz OS 65LA.
In which case my gasser PT-60 idea is doomed.
Unless there's a lighter gas engine out there?
So, kick the idea around. What do you think?

You can always add tail weight to compensate, but you have to start with a model that has enough wing area. Otherwise it will be like flying a brick. I've never flown one, but I've seen telemasters with gassers on them. I think this would be a good place to start.

Or just buy yourself an old 60 size glow for your trainer and save the gasser for the corsair.
