Fellow pilot and 2003 World Aerobatic Championship runner up Alexandre Krotov is making a strong recovery in a Japanese Hospital near the Twin Ring Motegi race track in Tochigi , Japan. As you may know Alexandre crashed in his Su26 while participating in the Haute Voltige Aerobatics Grand Prix this last October 31. Those that have seen the video footage will well wonder how he could have survived the crash but survive he did. As you may imagine however, his hospitalization costs in Japan are quite considerable and very expensive compared to those one might imagine in other countries. He has received the absolute best of medical care from the time of the crash, which occurred within 100meters of a fully equipped race track medical center that was staffed by suitable Doctors and Nurses, right up to the present in his Hospital bed where he is now talking, joking and able to eat light food.
