This is the StarMax B-17. Its a behemoth and this maiden flight nearly became its last. Watch this pilot test his skills with this badly balanced, dead battery flight.. OOPS

Not quite scale flight but still fun to watch. Good job getting it landed.

Its fortunate that Lego pilot poop is easy to clean up.

All the drama could be avoided with some careful planning. This just gives fodder to the general public about our "toy airplanes" being dangerous and hard to control. We need to improve our image if we hope to inspire.

The pilot would have shown better skills and judgement if he would have landed after 2 circuits. He should have realized the plane was tail heavy and over controlled. I mean why would you run it till the batteries go flat?
