Okanagan Newbie

Hey guys/gals, Just joined the site and don't know a whole lot but looking to learn.

Have been flying some 3ch & IR 2ch heli's for a little while but getting tired of limited abilites & not being able to fly in any kind of breeze.

So couple days ago I purchased a G-Sun 450 V3 Sport off eBay and look forward to assembling, upgrading and flying it.

I have not yet ordered a motor, ESC, Gyro, servos or radio yet and I could use some knowledge/advice on those items...

I am considering making it a FBL, would this be a good idea now or should I wait?

Currently in the Hanger I have:

Protocol P-Series 3ch (Under blade repair)

Double Horse 9053 3ch (awaiting replacement parts)

Air Hogs Heli Replay 3ch (super fun!)

Re: Okanagan Newbie

Just keep it as is....get it in the air....have some fun with it. Once you get your skills up...and your comfortable flying a little 3d ....then jump to a fbl system.
Welcome to RCCanada.

Welcome to RCCanada.
It's being upgraded as I build it once it arrives anyhow sine I ordered better parts to swap out some of the plastics..

The parts I take off it I plan to install on the DH 9053 and convert it into a 6ch heli as well. That's where the real challenge and fun is going to be for me.

Re: Okanagan Newbie

Actually I think HiFly would have some electronics that would fit that heli.

Thanks! I've owned a few before these as well, grew up around RC's including cars and fixed winged. But that was years ago back in the days of racing my Fox at the local tracks back in Ontario (guess that statement also kinda dates me, lol)

Re: Okanagan Newbie

Changed plans a bit and bought a complete Heli 450 clone from Hifly today.

Now I just need to find a radio & receiver for when it gets here.

The G-SUN that is also on its way I am not sure what I'm going to do with now, Guess I can retain it for a backup.

Stripped out the 9053 today in preparation for its modification to a 6ch.
