Causing loss of aileron control. What saved the plane is that one wire was already broken prior to the maiden so Trev took it easy. If that first wire had not broke prior to flight I amsure Trev would have run it out and then we would have seen wings seperating.

Techicaly the wires didn't break the silver solder joints did not hold. The wires pulled righ out of the turnbuckles!

Trev I hope you bought a Lottery Ticket on the way home!

Sorry guys... I got home tonight and just got on RCC, since I had to wash out my first pair of shorts

That was seriously the closest call I've ever had!!!

I checked it over tonight and there's not a scratch on it!!

I did an inspection of the other 5 flying wires... 4 of the 5 had a loose joints and I pulled off by hand

They're going back to the welder on Monday to get TIG Welded and I just placed an order for custom wires that are 1-piece with threads on each end!!

Toooo close of a call for me!!!

That's a beauty of a plane!!

but sorry, that bipe was stalling. The wires probably pulled out when he dropped it on the wheels.
You can't slow any bipe down and turn it tightly on edge like that with no power....Way too much drag, especially for a 50 pounder like that beast. That's why it started spiraling to the ground.

Nice save anyway. Lucky he was quick on the throttle.

It looked like a stall because the wires broke and maded the wing twist I don't think Trev planned to fly the close to the ground that slow only a minute into a maiden flight


Not to mention that bipe didn't hit the ground hard at all
