New Year's Day Flying!!!!!!!!!
Did you get out and fly today? Three of us, of the ASRCM club in Nova Scotia, braved the cold and windchill to introduce the New Year to its first day of flying!

Caught you Guys!
Chris Dean and I flew at Leon's and Shannon Park yesterday, and at Leon's between noon and 1pm today. Did not make Shannon Park today. When I got home at 1:30, I had an email to say Bill Foster and Terry Phalen were going to Leon's at 1pm. All-in-all agood start to 2006 John O'Sullivan -13 deg C is refreshing. |

I did two flights on my Slowstick today. Great day for electrics, almost no wind.
I had an extra good day because I got ANOTHER free plane! Some guy had crashed his Pete 'N' Poke a while ago and was just going to burn it in the fire pit. It had almost no damage, at least nothing that can't be easily fixed. The fuselage cracked clean just behind the cockpit. It's still in one peice but the cracks will need to be patched with fiberglass. The horizontal stab has worked its way loose and there's another clean crack in the wing which will also need to be fiberglassed. Should take a couple weeks to fix. It was a kit too so I can't believe he was just going to destroy it. Something for my old LA 40 anyway.

Had a nice 4 flights today with about 12 or more other club members, weather was great. The lite dusting of snow was perfect and the lack of wind was really surprising it's been a long time since I have on a day with out wind and the temp was just right.

1st flight in 2006
Six modellers from the "Sault Modellers" club flew today at 11:30 AM.
We only had 3 planes among us but everyone got some stick time. O*C, no wind, overcast and a well packed snow surface... What a "rush"

Frozen finger fly
We had our annual fly today and about 10 pilots showed up and we all got quite a few flights each. this is the warmest it has been in years, the temp was very close to 0 C most of the afternoon.
it was sunny and warm in Northwestern Ontario Harry
