Dynam SU26 motor "knocks" at low speed
I've got a new Dynam SU-26M with a stock motor and ESC. When I started the motor for the first time, there was a "knocking" noise at minimum throttle setting. It runs fine at any other throttle setting, but every time I slow it down, the knock returns. . Sounds to me like it might have something to do with the ESC
Any ideas? |

That's most likely timing on the ESC. Check the ESC manual to find out how to change the timing and experiment. You'll likely find a setting that works.

It is he timing of the esc. I had to set mine when it was new. It did the same thing as you are describing. If you go to motion rc they have a youtube channel with a video that shows exactly this condition and how to program your esc. It is very easy to do, especially after watching the video.

http://www.motionrc.com/dynam-esc-programming-card/ Or you can just set the range, and fly the sucker. I've been flying my Tigermoth for 2 years with no problems. The only problem encountered was a failed amp that was plugged into the ESC / Throttle lead. I removed it and it works fine.
