fuel tank

hi i was running my mayhem and i forgot to tightnen the muffler. after i drived my rc, i did my after run matianence and just saw my muffler just melted my fuel tank. it didn't all the way but i want to seal just incase. i am going to get a new one but my LHS doesn't have them in stock. what glue/ sealent do you people reconmend? please let me know.

i had good luck with super glue, just pour it into the bump and leave overnight to dry. then if you feel you need the strength you can use hockey tape the one thats like cloth and put that over the melted part and soak it with super glue. it works well i used it to fix my cracked laptop. if its a hole then you can try some silicone.

I would Use a Glue Gun( Crafters Glue For the Time Being ).....Then Tape it up with hockey Tape.....This Happend to Me a Few years ago but I melted a hole in it ......

This worked for me ....

shoe-goo is a good adhesive... i have also used rtv sealent....

i know this doesnt apply to you, but if there is just a hairline crack, run a soldering iron tip along the crack and it will seal the crack

a friend of mine used fibreglass cloth and epoxy. it worked realy good, but started to turn pink after a while.

drywall tape is good fibre tape. hit any new house construction and you'll find little chunks laying abouts. I use those little chunks and shoe goo to repair bodies and other things. had to do the same to a tank before. the motorcycle tanks are badly saled around the intake nipples and I used shoe goo and never had a leak after. it's fuel resistant and flexible
