Re: Scale jet club!!!😉
Hello Jeremy, I am building a Skymaster F5 this winter. Any suggestions on the cg (just verifying the instructions) and or things I need to know. Also may I ask where you got your wing tip tanks or did you make them. One more thing I am wanting to do a similar paint scheme of the cold lake moose 419 squadron but a different a different jet that actually following a real one they have at Trenton Air base. Did you paint it or did it come like that. Could you help me out as much as you can? Oh yes have you taken any pics of your f5 on the inside.
Thanks for your time. Blair |

Re: Scale jet club!!!😉
Thanks Mike...it is a mean machine! Next year, I'll be adding the pylons, tanks, AIM-7s, landing lights and a drogue chute! I look forward to having both of our F-4s in the air together in 2017. Like to you say: "Phantoms Phorever"!

Re: Scale jet club!!!😉
Couple pictures taken of my Tucano Turboprop. Putting the scale cockpit in sure made a big difference.

Re: Scale jet club!!!😉
AND this is where is really shines. Yah , I know it doesn't do a million miles and hour but still sounds more scale than those rotaries...lol.... Forgot. It is probably the only one on North America that isn't full size...

Re: Scale jet club!!!😉
This one came as a pre-painted ARF and was assembled by Angus M from Fernie, BC . The float mounting; I did most of it scratch as the manual had two English words ... front and back.....and the control cables including the water rudder lifts, I did myself from past float installs and a few online pictures. No lack of power with the Wren 44TP. Uses a 3 blade 23X10 CF prop on water and a 24x10 wood on land. No float spray rails needed . Work still in progress. Although not needed; I will build a sub fin to replace the tailwheel that was left on the aircraft for initial float flying. This will be closer to scale outline rather than a requirement.
https://photos.google.com/share/AF1Q...h4TmUwNzRnTzV3 Had Steve Bondar from Calgary do the initial maiden for trimming. Don't forget to turn up the volume for startup ! Last edited by stegl; 10-23-2016 at 05:21 PM. |

Re: Scale jet club!!!😉
Really like that Wren 44 Turboprop motor Len. Wren finally got it right with that one - too bad it doesn't make any noise in the air - same as my Tucano. Kinda disappointing when u make the investment.
Cheers, PaulD

Re: Scale jet club!!!😉
Hi Paul.... definitely agree with you on the sound. could be a little louder so you know it was running....LOL ..I have electrics that are louder ... almost. Yes that is one jewel but a bit pricy when buying brand new. Be interesting to see what the KT 45 TP will be like when we can get it in NA as it is out there but not here; as I have seen Utube videos on it.
