Rob,

Digital servos are major overkill. I like to use Hitec HS81mg at about $18 for aileron, elevator and rudder, and HS55 at about $11 for throttle. They are all tiny, light, and do the job.

no starndard servos are what i use, but 3 hs81mg's weight is the same as 1 standard servo.

over kill

Truman you can use full size servos in the Se5a there is plenty of room and as long as you put them as far forward as posible you will not have to put in dead weight to balance the plane. I put the rudder elevator directly behind the firewall and the battery and throtle in the engine compaartment and still use a heavy hub so your digital servos would help in the balance department for sure.

se5a flight report

i just have gat to say i had a ball with this plane.i think the trainer is parked for now.thanks to jeff for getting me going with this plane with the trainer cord . what a great idea for 1st flight for me anyway.on the third flight it was a peice of cake this plane loops recovers quick and tracks strait and stable. when i got home i flew it 2 more times . thanks again jeff and others help at the feild. scott
