Great Hobbies and Paypal - ??
I've used the above two companies for years now. Beginning last month I can no longer use Paypal from the GH website - when the link is clicked on the page goes grey and freezes. Is anyone else having difficulties? I queried GH and they said everything is OK on their end - if this is so then why is it I have no problem using PP with HK and other hobby suppliers? Anybody else having issues?

Go to settings, and select clear browsing history and clear cookies. You will need to re-login to the sites which had saved passwords.

Thanks guys. I'm running Mozilla's Firefox ver: 50.1.0 which was just released Dec 13 so I don't need an update. However, I have GH's password saved so I'll go and wipe it out - reboot and see what happens. Firefox is set so it wipes out my history whenever I close it.

Didn't work so used credit card to place order with GH. Bummer - oh well no big deal.

GH is using a pop-up to process the PayPal stuff. Looks like your browser is blocking it. Try setting your browser to allow pop-ups for just that site. More info here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...roubleshooting

Thanks for the tip Jim. I had already done all the suggested stuff and still no go. However, it's only my office computer doing it. My shop computer has no problem going from GH to PP but it's still running MS Explorer. The problem is in Firefox not liking GH programing for some reason. Oh well - I'll keep playing with it.

In my experience, firefox, & thunderbird will just not work with certain tasks and websites, no matter what you do. Yet a different browser works perfectly.
I have no interest in wasting time trying to correct their issues. I simply change browsers and get on with it. Suggest that you do likewise unless you derive some perverse pleasure from screwing around with this stuff - usually to no avail. My preference is to put that time into something which generates results, like model building. |

I had the same problem, but not really concerned as I don't order from GH anymore. Besides this issue, I find their website slow and difficult to navigate, their prices are inflated and I'm lucky if they get my order right 50% of the time. Fast shipping though!
