I noticed one of these kits on EBay. Price was $325, or best offer, I threw in a really lowball bid, and got the thing! Anyone build one of these? Curious to get any feedback on the kit.

Perfect, thanks. I really didn't expect to get it, I offered $200, and got accepted right away. Not sure if there are any aftermarket parts, i.e. cowl, canopy, etc, if there are, I could simply cut a short kit for it and send your way with the plans/instructions when I get this one built.

You're a gentleman, Dave.

I'm a bit of a cutter myself, so no need to trouble yourself with cutting parts. But correct traces of the parts (fuse formers and wing ribs especially) would be nice. I have a copier/printer here that does good work for a fair price too, so after you're done a loan of the plans would be good, unless you scan them like some folks do. Then the full size PDF would be great. I can get them printed here.

Of course I would reimburse any expenses.

Once you get farther on in the kit let's talk and if I'm still looking for a project maybe we can work something out.

Sounds all good to me! I like to have templates of any kits I build, for insurance! Not many kit plans give all the templates for fuse, wing, etc. I'll be sure to get copies of everything. From the pics on EBay, the horizontal stab is already built, but some creative work should let me get cross sections at all the rib points, and extrapolate from there.

lol Might be a while, I'm just finishing off my Top Flite FW-190 D-0, hoping to maiden tomorrow, an Ultra Sport 60, for maiden tomorrow, and Great Planes F-4 Phantom, had one flight, engine quit, very minor repairs done. After that, a couple of planes for others, then hopefully back to my Dave Platt 109, and my plans built Me-262! lol
