So far it has one test flight that did not go well due to trying to run everything off of the internal castle bec.

I did ask several fellow flyers at HF if it would be ok to fly a 550 size helicopter without a bec and most of the responses I got where it should be good to go.

Wrong, 3 minutes into the maiden flight the esc shut down and lost all control of the heli.

The innova 550 V2 does not have a lot of room to add a bec, so adding one definitely took some serious thought on where to place it and run the wiring and find a place to put the flight pack where it would be protected in the event of a crash.

The heli fell from about 50 feet up and to my surprise it actually handles crashes extremely well.

Total damage was 1 skid, set of main blades, links in the FBL head, feathering shaft, small chip in the original stock canopy but it has since been fixed and will be used as a back up.

The heli will definitely be getting a lot more air time very soon. My first impressions of it where it is extremely floaty and effortless to tic toc it.

Tracks awesome and is definitely a power house add to that it is built like a tank and takes crashes extremely well.

Once I have a lot more flights on it I will report back!

Cheers Keith
Looks like a Align Clone but hey if it's cheap to crash and flys fine why not right ?

ATLEAST you put good electronics into it..

If anything the heli is far from an ALIGN clone looks a lot like a Mikado LOGO!

Just received the new Chaos 700 V2 prototype so off to build I go!

Cheers Keith

Re: Lets see what you fly!! AKA THE HOT HELI'S THREAD!!

Here is what I fly mostly at the moment. The T-Rex 450 along with the Tarot 450 are equipped with the Tarot DFC head & 3GX. The T-Rex 500 is one I can try new things with without too much worry. My favorite is the T-Rex 550 which I feel very comfortable with. And last is the T-Rex 600 because I thought I needed it. NOTE: I am still in the early stages of learning to fly & it is a great hobby for me. ( I hope to attended the Drayton Valley funfly on Aug 9th with this fleet. )

Pete
