Retracts for Corsair?

Can any of you guys recomend a good set of Rotating Retracts for a 120 Corsair. it waighs about 12lbs. I noticed that Lato Tech has gone out of business, and I cant find anything on Robart. I dont care if there mechanical or Air. But if they are mechanical, I would like them to have a motor or servo on the gear and not in the fues.

Thanks guys

I believe if you go to Sierra Retracts, you'll find what you need for that size. They generally service the giant scale crowd but they also do custom work and may have a product just for you

Have always heard good things about them.

Re: Retracts for Corsair?

Hey Trev,

I've got a set from my Hanger 9 Corsair. It's technically a .60 sized plane (had a 1.08 in it), so i don't know if they'd work for you or not. The servo does go in the fuse (center of the wing actually) - again, not exactly what you're looking for. I spun the plane in, and I know I won't get the time to repair it. The gear are fine. You can have them if you think they may work for you.

Re: Retracts for Corsair?

Thanks for the help guys! and thank you Mark for your generous offer, but the 120 is a quit a bit haevier than the .60. and Im afraid they wouldnt be up to the task. Much apreciated though!

Another site member contacted me and Ill be buying his Robart 615s

Re: Retracts for Corsair?

Beware of the 615's. Do your research first. Some people like them, I personally don't. I definitely think they are NOT strong enough for a 12 lb airplane.

Check out Sierra Giants. I have a pair of theirs on my H9 F4U CORSAIR 60, specifically designed for this aircraft.
