Hey just finishing up project #1

Giant GoldFinch 82" 10lbs - CRRC 26PRO - Needs a few little items to kit her out for the maiden flight this spring! Plane should let me get started with the many IMAA events in my Zone G

Project #2 Starts tonight is a scratch built 70mm EDF design for the May 29 EDF only Jet Rally at the Rideau RC Flyers. I got the basic equipment like the fan/motor/retracts etc and I'll figure I'll have a blast bashing a plane to match! I'll try to get started with a set of hotwired foamwings.

Re: Progress Reports - Lets see them for 2010

Here's my winter project, full build thread on RCU. It's a JMP Firebird, arguably THE Ferrari of RC Sport jets. There is nothing out there flying faster, or a stronger airframe. Can't wait to get this one going!!!!

Here's my build thread of a 32.5% Carden Yak. Coming along.

Don't mind the wonky reply placement. There's obviously some issues with the site lately. I'm sure Jason is working on it!

Progress LOL, its only January, my new plane is has not even been shipped LOL. As long as I get it in time to have it ready two weeks before the US Nats I am good.

The rest, a 50cc sukhoi, and a 70mm BAE hawk are very slowly moving along.

Re: Progress Reports - Lets see them for 2010

Although it's a little bit early in the building game, I thought I would post my latest build project.

I'm using so much wood, because I'm building a pair of Racer's. Although it's only a .10 size craft, I'm putting a hot little AP .15 YellowJacket in one. The other will be an electric contraption.

The photo shows enough ribs for two. Also shown, is the foam board template I'll use to form the laminated wing tips, and the 1/16 strips for the laminations.

These are just for fun over the winter. Plus, I still have to cover the Astro Hog and maiden my recently built SPAD.

Re: Progress Reports - Lets see them for 2010

Here is the progress on my winter build.. I still have lots to do before I decide how its going to be covered..

I am trying to incorperate functional 3 part flaps using robart hinges. I got the idea from the Top Flite giant Corsiar manual on their site.

I think I have everything I need to get it done.. even the 1/8 replica engine( which is going to take a while to paint and install)
