in my opinion the 24 dollar cost of the outwears filter is more than worth the money.

Or do as my friend Jordan does and pick up some baby socks at the dollar store. Just use a rubber band to hold it on the neck of the air filter. Works quite well.

That motor saver filter is too large for a buggy. I bought one and it wouldn't fit under the body of my Jammin.

jordan actually ties a baby to the filter neck (with the socks on) and drives it like that. I've seen him.

if you end up just running an inner and outer foam filter, you can try this:
get the inner and put it in a small baggy. squirt in some oil onto the filter and squish the foam all around inside the baggy untill its saturated. squeegee the excess out of the inner while its in the bag untill its evenly coated and remove it.
Take the outer and turn it inside out. throw it in the bag (which now has only some oil in it) and move it all around the bag untill its lightly coated. take it out and turn it right side out and you should find that the outer portion is relatively oil free, while the inner portion is lightly oiled. This works very well.
It also works very well when using an outerwears or a sock on top of it, because it prevents the outerwears/sock from becoming saturated with oil, which would only serve to clog it and prevent it from being a dry dust-stopper.

See me at niagara and I can show you how to hook all that up no problem. I also have a gallon of air filter oil, so no worries.

you are right there martin.
jordan is always coming up with something ingenious for his buggy. the first time i saw him using the baby sock for his air filter cover on his buggy was at the 5 a couple of years back.
the cost of one outwears air filter cover could buy enough baby socks to last for years.
