Re: taking it easy

Work and married life are all the stress I need. That's why I enjoy flying scale birds, gliders and old timers so much!

Re: taking it easy

I won a little Flite Test Nutball (kind of appropriate name huh?) at a Fun Fly. Build was quick and easy. Looks goofy but it flies well.

Plug and Play is a nice change after flying gassers all summer. I'm with the other Brent, winter sucks and is wayyyyyyy to long!!!!

Re: taking it easy

Welcome to the Flite Test world Brent! Those guys it seems have set out to prove that RC fun need not be directly connected to dollars spent. In the process they have done more to promote the hobby than anyone else in recent times!

Enjoy the low cost, low stress fun!

We sure do here's a video. We only have 7 members to enjoy this flying field, so sad. http://youtu.be/YPxMgiIzYIo

Len,

A Beaver without floats is like a woman without boobs. Of course, it's getting floats. I would love to do an amphibious thing but I'll probably just switch between the regular gear and floats. As of now, the float kit is back ordered so I'm building it on the wheels and will probably fly it that was for the winter.

That is so true, when I came across their videos it took me weeks to get through them all. They have fun, teach folks about so many parts of the hobby and they don't take it too serious. They also promote newcomers to join the fun which is a big goal of mine.

Re: taking it easy

Hmm, think I'll have to ad Bonnyville to our retirement travel list. I spent 3 years there as a kid, 76-78, attended Air Cadets at Cold Lake, and got my glider scholarship there. Be great to get back up there, see if the old homestead still exists, and hopefully join in on some flying!
