MD500 fuse from Hobbyking

I have been debating for awhile now about grabbing one of the scale fuselage kits that HK offers for the 450 series of helis. I tend to fly my helis more scale like than 3d stuff so it suits my style of flying as well.....also with the price of HK's scale fuse's at less than $50us, it was time to jump on it.
I ordered the kit on Friday Oct 22/10 and used the cheapest shipping possible. It arrived in 6 days on Thursday Oct. 28/10, spending more time hanging out in Mississauga than it did to fly over from HongKong!
The kit was packaged well and no damage.
The paint job is passable from about 10 feet away, not the greatest but way better than I could ever do so I am happy with it. There is a mistake with some of the lettering on the side and the chinglish shows through with the "HD" being painted on backwards. I don't mind really as it will be a small reminder to how cheap this kit really was. The fiberglass work seems ok and the front of the fuse is easily removed for battery changeovers with a neat attachment using magnets.
I have a 2nd HK450 that hasn't flown yet so I am using that for the mechanics.
Tonight I started by glueing the landing gear struts on with what the manual calls "AB" glue (epoxy). The manual is pretty straight forward and there is really not a lot to do other than glue the landing gear and stuff the 450 mechanics in. The plywood support plate is even already glued in from the factory.
I will post a few pictures as I go along, it may be a few weeks before I get back to it but will post some as I progress....eventually.
