Banquet

As most of you are aware, the Canadian Nats will be held on Aug 17, 18, 19th 2007 at the RC400 club. In the interim, I've been doing a little research into possibly putting together a banquet for anyone who wants to attend. I'm going to go with the Friday evening (Aug 17th, 2007) as banquet halls tend to be very expensive on Saturdays (with all the weddings and such) I've tentatively found a place that is in Concord, Ontario about 30 min south off the flying field, right off the 400 highway. The room holds up to a 100 people, and the cost will be around $40-45 per person. This will include a full meal, desert, coffee, and wine (cash bar is also available).

I wanted to take a poll to see what the interest would be in this and if it would be worth pursuing.

Thanks
Sam

How's the food? Will you go do a taste testing as if you were getting married there? Catered banquet type meals are sort of hit and miss... especially for $45.

I would think less than $40-45 buys a decent meal at a restaurant doesn't it? I'm with Jason...how's the food at that price?

They say trees are 90% air. Personally I think they are 100% tree.

Hall

Well If its a banquet hall The Space is good compared to most restaurants, there should be more than enough room for everyone. Plus that means that we won't be bothering the other patrons of the restaurant. Plus that means the group can have some peace and quiet if need be.
