Well, Bill - I heard some unbelievable good news today... without going into details, a very nice woman in the US found me not one, but two of the Saito's that were as of this morning unspoken for, and I bought them!

So, take that 2nd one for yourself or offer it to some other not so lucky person who was hoping to get one..

If you have already purchased it for me, I will for sure pay for it and keep it as #3 But two is really enough

Woo Hoo!

No problem Andrew, I have another friend third in line for it. Glad you got yours.
I won't be flying mine I have a old wooden box that is full of trinkets that my 7yr old will get one day and my golden Saito will be in there.

Well, Horizon has started shipping out the engines to the dealers, so it won't be long before they show up at the doors of prospective owners.

Re: gold plated Saito 30

Also, the Horizon website now indicates that they are "out of stock." I reckon they sold out.

I know for a fact they are indeed sold out. All engines were pre ordered except for a very few.

I was extremely lucky to get my hands on two. Like I said I owe one very nice person a big favour, as she spent a day and a half hunting these down for me. Do you guys who are getting them through Canadian hobby shops know the price? I ended up paying $320 US each...

Wow, already? I would have waited at least a week more

I have to go see how much they are asking...

AJC

edit: well, $420 and its from Taiwan... but free shipping. ANd the seller says only 500 produced (1000 is correct). Thats not that much profit, after ebay fees and paying for shipping. I was expecting like 5 or 6 hundred
