dose anyone know where I can get a fun cub in Alberta or saskatchewan. And are they worth getting? I had a mini super cub and the motor fried in it. I want to know if that could happen to this cub?

The Parkzone Mini SuperCub has a brushed motor. Eventually, the brushes on these motors will wear out and the motor will stop working. If the motor actually overheated and let out the 'magic smoke', that could be another problem altogether.

Anyway, if the Fun Cub you are looking for is the Multiplex Fun Cub then you may want to consider your flying site. This plane has a 55" WS. You are not going to fly this one in a small soccer field or similar.

Perhaps you can describe your flying field?

Do you just want a simple RTF like your Mini SC?

Are you willing to buy a more expensive plane? What is your budget?

Is this what you consider a "Fun Cub"? http://www.greathobbies.com/producti...rod_id=HBZ7300

This the one? Looks pretty neat:

According to their dealer search the nearest dealer for that plane is:

Plane Crazy Radio

If you're going to order from them, do it over the phone, and request it to be shipped fom the Edmonton warehouse. It'll arrive way sooner, and the shipping will be cheaper.

Do you have all your electronics for this plane? Including the TX, RX, ESC, servos, battery, lipo charger, etc? If not, I believe I can sell you a whole bunch of stuff perfectly suited (according to manufacturer's recommendations) for this plane, at a good price. The only thing I don't have for you would be a motor. If you're interested, shoot me a PM and we can discuss specifics. BTW, the radio is a 2 year old 2.4 Hitec Optic 6 (standard module type) system with a BNIB 7ch rx. I'm switching the genre of planes I fly, so I won't have use for this smaller stuff anymore.

Re: Where can I get a fun cub in Sask or Alberta

fun cub looks cool. ive been flying a minimag for a couple years and love it! super tough ,light easy to fix with ca in seconds. broke the motor mount and could not get a new one though. no prob just fabbed up a new one from old tip cleaner boxes and voila! now i even have a aluminum motor mount. the plane was never flown stock, i used a 2822 1180 out runner with a 10*7 prop on 3 cells. does anything i tell it including vertical hand launch.
let me know if you get a fun cub, curious how they fly compared to the minimag.

That might be an option for the OP as the MiniMag comes in an RTF package with a simple Hitec 4ch (FM) TX.

See here:

http://hobbyhobby.com/store/product/...9-MiniMag-RTF/

However...

The BNF SuperCub and a Spektrum DX5e is likely a better deal long term as you get a decent TX and a lipo battery. It's such a popular plane that my LHS sells the plane and TX bundled together. Not sure what the latest price is, but you can contact them:
