OK now that we have a Canadian Jet forum.... Lets here some stories about R/C versions of the Arrow past, present and future... Is there any large turbine Arrow projects underway anywhere.

I even heard a story that a 2/3 piloted version was under construction as well??? anyone know about that one!

Cheers-Marty

I would be interested in models of any Canadian jets!! Tutor, Clunk, Arrow, T-bird, Voodoo. CF-5, CF-18, Sabre......anything....

It would be nice to get some Canadian content in the jet arena......

Arrow

Peter Doupnik from Windsor had a turbine powered Arrow at the 1999 Quinte Rally. It had a Turbomin in it. Not sure what he ever did with the plane but I guess he never did put it in the air. :P
Hey Marty, you going to finish that Mig 29 this winter?
Myles!

MIG 29? : )

G'day Myles, The MIG29 is sitting in the corner of my hobby room waiting for me to get over the WOW factor still! Probably wont get on to it again for another few months, as I have a couple of others to finish off first.... eg F15, MB339.
I wonder if there are any other F/C MIG29's underway in Canada? I dont think we can attach pics. here? otherwise I would post some pics. of the MIG for you....

Cheers-

Arrow and projects

Het Marty, you may have another project to due soon as well. I was talking to Ronnie at Jet-Mart yesterday and he should be laying up the BD-5's this weekend!
Back to the Arrow topic, a guy who also flies in Picton with us is a scuba diver and if not mistaken he mentioned that he did see the prototype glider models of the Arrow on the bottom of Lake Ontario just off the coast of Pt. Petre here by Picton!!
How cool would that be?!
I can't remember everything he said but I think he was not allowed to touch it because of historical reasons.....?
Hopefully I am correct at all of this and I may just get in touch with him to get the details of it again.
Myles

Arrow Glider

Hey Myles lets go get her! I wont tell if you dont
talk about a conspiricy theory? that whole Arrow story sickens me to think what a waste of Canadian talent, jobs and the huge $$$ loss to the Canadian economy. Especially when you find out all the Avro designers either were snapped up by NASA, U.S. military or the Concord project....

Being an Aussie myself, and only living in Canada now for two years there's much I am unaware off re - Arrow. But I would sure like to hear some more opinions on why the Arrow project was canned???? I think I know some of the logic???(politics) behind the projects closure, but lets here some opinions from you wiser Canadains, hope this is not opening up a can of worms so to speak, just would like to hear the truth.....

P.S. Myles cant wait to fly formation BD5's I will get you a TamJets smoker for your BD5...

Man, I don't know much about the whole Arrow sory myself mate. I do know it was a sad situation due to politics but then again that seems to happen here a lot in the Great White North. Just today I heard the GST was going up to 10%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tell me it ain't soooooooooooooo!
